The party continues...

A very special thanks to Andy for organizing the trip and for Anthony to drive us around and take care of the little details. In addition, this year's group included some Mardi Gras Virgins but after the first hour there, a hurricane was already in hand and they were more than ready to start the party.

Thanks to everyone in our group to make this trip memorable but more importantly, thank you New Orleans for putting on the greatest free show on earth! Laissez les bon temp rouler!

This year was especially exciting because of the unknowns especially only 6 months after Hurricane Katrina. Take a look at the photo set of the Lower 9th Ward and the London Avenue breaches. It seemed like no progress or effort has been taken to rebuild the neighborhood or communities. It is like a ghost town; time stand still. Thank you Anthony for giving us a personal and upclose visit.

Also, 2006 marks the debut of Santa's North Stripper Pole by Andy and Paul. As some of you may know, the Titty Taxi that was introduced in 1995 drowned in Hurricane Katrina's wake. It was in storage at Anthony's warehouse and now it is all moldy and unusable. You can view these photos at the end of the "Hurricane Katrina 6 months later" link.

Chris debuts the new pimp suit complete with EL wires (Electroluminesent Light) and was surprised to see that this has not been a staple of costumes. Next year, just watch how quickly this catches on and sooner than later, blinky beads are a thing of the past. Andy and Mark debut the first blinky heart beads way before its time. It seems like an endeavor we should pursue to make some money during Mardi Gras..

Dear Krewe!

Woo hoo! great time! And THANKS Chris you crazy mf for putting these up daily.

What a wild wild crazy drunken ride. I haven't had that much to drink since college! or burningman, one of the two.

I was really amused by the ornament that someone attached to me at some point.  Needless to say with slight intoxication, I didn't notice it until later.  If you guys do it next year, it would be really funny if you got buttons/ ornaments made up with your info to "tag" the women who visit Santa.
